To support the learning objectives of the B Arch course it is structured to have Architectural Design in 1st semester to 8th semester as a core subject, along with materials and methods of construction, Drawing and Graphics, working drawing studios. The syllabus followed is as per the VTU Belagavi.

B.Arch. students will have to undergo rigorous studio exercises, supported by Literature study and case study, seminars and expert/professional lectures to bring out sensible contextual space designs. At Brindavan college of Architecture, Conceptual Thinking both in conventional ways and lateral thinking is appreciated in Architectural Design studios.

Internship: 9th semester (one Sem) of the 5th year.

Final year 10th semester will have Architectural Design Thesis, every student conducts an Original research and submits the Thesis at the end of the semester

ELIGIBILITY

  • Citizenship :Indian

    VERY IMPORTANT : Candidates must have a valid NATA (National Aptitude Test In Architecture) Conducted by Council of Architecture (COA).

    Qualifying marks for NATA - would be based on the following rules :

    Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

    Entrance test : NATA visit www.nata.in and www.coa.gov.in for details on test syllabus, test pattern, test centre and exam dates.

    Education: Pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% marks of the 10+2 level examination. OR

    Passed 10+3 diploma Examination with mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

    There is No lateral entry to B.ARCH course

EVALUATION SYSTEM AND ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT

Bachelor of Architecture course involves more one to one interaction, Hence Overall 85% attendance is mandatory !

Students with 75% attendance are condoned on medical grounds.

Students who attend classes regularly will fare well in their sessional marks. In Internal assessment it is mandatory to score 50% marks, to be eligible to write University semester end exams(SEE)

All the architecture courses will have Seminars and group discussions which are progressively evaluated throughout the semester and not based on end submissions. There will be internal exams at the end of every month in all the semesters

The Training & Placement (T&P) Cell of Brindavan College of Architecture is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain placements best suited to them and primarily liaisons between Industry and the Institute.

The goal of Training & Placement Cell is to provide world class training to Brindavan College of Architecture students. The Training & Placement Cell is dedicated to motivate and help the student community towards their placement and industrial training. This is done by training students from the first year onwards focusing on motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership qualities, group discussions and portfolio making techniques. Additionally, the Cell also provides the required infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions besides catering to other logistics.
